Who is Food mentor?

Through my career, I have been a retail buyer with Tesco/Boots and then crossed the table and worked as Commercial Director covering products as diverse as Christmas puddings to ready meals and sushi. I had a successful career, launching many successful products and brands, growing categories and creating profitable sales.

Now I use that experience to help food businesses whether start ups or established businesses to overcome their commercial challenges and achieve the profitable growth that they deserve. I have written the Amazon bestseller “Recipe to Success – the ingredients of a profitable food business” which has been shortlisted for Business Books awards 2018.

I am a regular guest lecturer at Nottingham Trent University and also deliver workshops on sales and marketing. I speak at various events such as Food and Drink expo, Bread and Jam and have been featured on various radio shows at the food expert such as LBC.

I also volunteer to judge at Great Taste Awards, Grocer Own Label awards and Quality food awards and am a volunteer for Virgin Start up

Passionate about food!!

And in my spare time?

I love food – in case you didn’t realise! And where else to enjoy it in the South of France where I live part of the time?

For the rest of my working week, I stay in Newbury, which enables me to have a wonderful quality of life but also to spend a combination of face to face and Skype time with my clients.

I have two children who are studying in the UK – Jack who has just finished a degree in Economics and Katie who is studying medicine.
Last year, I bought a village house in the hills behind Nice and is probably going to be a lifetime of renovation work – but I love a challenge
To counter all that lovely food and Provencal wine, I run along the seafront and go walking in the hills. And am a big fan of yoga.

And, before you ask, I am not fluent in French but every day I learn a few more words.

We work closely with you and carry out research to understand your needs and wishes.
